History

Shenandoah Valley IPMS was formally recognized by IPMS/USA in March 2023 as a chapter.  The chapter was stood up to service modellers in the greater Shenandoah Valley region of Northern Virginia, West Virginia, and nearby Maryland. 
The chapter will host its first show RavenCon in 2026, but its members have already competed and placed in several shows in the region. 
Members in the chapter have varied interests, ranging from automobiles, trains, planes and armor to figures and ships.  Modellers of all skills and interests in the Shenandoah Valley are welcomed to attend any meeting and to become members of our new club.

Membership

Annual dues are $20 and membership runs from January 1st to December 31st. Renewal of dues is required by February 1st each year. Dues can be paid by cash or check. If you would like to join please fill out this form and bring it to the next meeting along with your dues. Members receive discounts on any contests we host and access to the club’s Discord server.

Membership in IPMS is not required but we encourage anyone who is serious about scale modeling to consider joining. IPMS does a lot of work to promote the hobby and they provide a lot of benefits and support to local chapters like ours. Membership also comes with a magazine subscription that includes 6 issues per year. If you wish to become a member of IPMS you can do so here.
