The Shenandoah Valley Modelers are excited to announce our first model contest open to the public on November 7th, 2026,
at the Eukarya Christian Academy at 901 Aylor Road, Stephens City Virginia.

The IPMS-level competition is open to all.
There will be vendors, a raffle, and a food truck.

Door opens at 9 am, Show conclusion at 3 pm.

The theme of the show is “THE PROTOTYPES!”
Bring and show a model that was the pre-production variant of an aircraft, vehicle, or anything that was the very first of that line.
The best one gets a special award.
There will be other theme awards announced at the show

Ravencon 2026 List of Special Awards
In addition to the 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place awards for the categories, the following special awards will be presented

4. Best Civilian Aircraft

7. Best Heavy Armor Model
8. Best Naval Aircraft Model
9. Best Vertical Lift Aircraft Model
10. Best Figure Model
11. Best Working Truck Award
12. Best Non-US Model
13. Best Diorama or Vignette
14. Best Prototype Award
15. Best of Show Award

Contestants $10 entry fee for first 3 models, $1 for each additional entry
$5 for walk-ins; kids under 12 years free entry
Membership in our club and/or IPMS is not required but we encourage anyone to consider joining who is not affiliated with an IPMS chapter
