It’s been a busy December and January working on an original release Ertl International 4070a kit (1973) The kit was started by someone years ago and then shelved. I soaked the sloppy painted cab in Dot 3 brake fluid for 3 hours and the years of old paint came right off. The original casting of the kit was in Red plastic. Bringing an old kit back to life is fun and challenging. The windshield center post was broken out, the cab had a crack in the window post as well.

The kit was primered white over the Red plastic which turned pink. 2 more coats solved the problem.
I wanted a work related truck and Bud 2 hole wheels would make the truck perfect. Special thanks to Chad Kennedy for the 3-D printed wheels.
The cab and chasis were airbrushed using enamel paints. Engine details I used Tamiya panel line accent black and AK weathering enamels for exhausts.
The final International 4070a came out quite nicely.
