Ross’ Dragster in 1/16

This is a vintage 90s Revell kit of the Don Prudhomme “Wynns Winder” dragster

This kit was a real challenge to complete, largely due to Revell not providing instructions that point out where small parts are to be located. The small diameter rods that make up the front suspension and steering mechanism also provided hours of entertainment.

The 426 Hemi engine is the real centerpiece of this kit, fully detailed, wired and plumbed. The decals for this kit did not survive it’s long hibernation and I haven’t been able to find a replacement set. Any help you all can provide there will be greatly appreciated!

  1. Slixx Decals for Replacements. Might not be in the current catalog, but I am told they did release them.
Atlantis is slowing going thru all of the Revell and Monogram Drag kits. I am working on 2 sets of 1/25 Top Fuel Rail decals as part of my Day Job for them. I can confirm neither set is of this car, sadly.

    • Thank you very much for the tip Mark, very much appreciated! The idea of doing this kit in 1:25 makes me physically ill. The teeny tiny tiny little parts that all have to fit together just so in order for the front end to even work. Ugh
