Well, build number 35 for the year is in the books. 1970 Mustang with a fuel quad 427 from Texas 3d customs. I really do like his stuff. Very well detailed. I wired and plumbed it. Made the headers out of solder, small piece of aluminum tubing and some shrink wrap. Wheels and tires are from a 2n1 1970 Buick GSX. Not your typical paint scheme, but I like it.

THIRTY FIVE?? Good God, man…I don’t know that I’ve built 35 models in my life, but especially not in a single year.

I hereby relinquish my crown, and bend a knee to the true king! Lol. Nice work as always Jeff your solder bending skills are to be envied. Do you hand bend everything, or use pliers/tweezers etc?

So this thing doesn’t like me. I wore a reply and it didn’t go through. Grr. Anyway, Ross, I use tweezers and my didgets to make my headers. Hand bend to get the shape mostly.

I have run into trouble in the past when it comes time to mount the finished header to the engine. I usually use E6000 clear epoxy gel as it dries clear and generally stays out of the way. That and my collector building skills leave a lot to be desired. I make them out of AC tape, or bare metal foil and they often look crude and or hastily constructed…. I’ve never had success at drilling the heads for each tube and mounting them that way either. It’s good to have goals in life
